BECAUSE I STAYED UP LATE AT THE ZELDA SYMPHONY!!! A friend and I went to The Symphony of the Goddesses, the Legend of Zelda Symphony at Wolf Trap here in NoVa. The National Symphony Orchestra doing Zelda songs with scenes from the games on giant screens? How can you go wrong? It was great, I started smiling right as we walked in, and didn’t stop until we left. This was the third Video Game/Orchestra show I’ve been to, and unfortunately, probably the weakest. The video aspect could have been used a lot better, and I wasn’t crazy for the symphony style of the show, as opposed to the concert style of the other two I saw. BUT, they did have some fantastic music from Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Link to the Past(none of that Skyward Sword janks). PLUS, they performed a triple encore with Ballad of the Wind Fish, Gerudo Valley, and a Majora’s Mask Medley. Super tired, but super worth it.

Also, my friend and I decided we would dress up our daughters as Zelda and Sheik for Halloween one year.
